About the Game
Sonic 3D: Director's Cut is a fan-made modification of the original game Sonic 3D Blast, released in 1996 for the Sega Genesis console. The game was developed by Jon Burton, the founder of Traveller's Tales and one of the original developers of Sonic 3D Blast.
The Director's Cut version of the game was released in 2017 and features numerous enhancements, including improved graphics, new levels, and gameplay tweaks. The game's story remains the same, with Sonic the Hedgehog on a mission to rescue Flickies, small bird-like creatures, from the clutches of Dr. Robotnik (also known as Eggman).
One of the most significant changes in Sonic 3D: Director's Cut is the addition of a "Director's Cut" mode, which offers a new gameplay experience. This mode allows players to choose between the original Sonic 3D Blast gameplay or a more traditional Sonic experience, with a focus on speed and platforming.
