Sonic Blast Man is a side-scrolling action video game developed by Taito Corporation and released in arcades in 1990. It was later ported to the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1992. The game features a superhero character named Sonic Blast Man, who is tasked with defeating various villains and their minions to save the world.
In Sonic Blast Man, the player takes control of the titular character as he travels through six different stages, each with its own unique set of enemies and obstacles. The gameplay is simple and straightforward: the player punches and jumps their way through the levels, with occasional power-ups to aid in combat and traversal.
One of the most unique features of Sonic Blast Man is its "power meter" system. The player can charge up Sonic Blast Man's power meter by performing a series of button inputs, which increases the strength of his punches and allows him to perform special attacks. These special attacks include a powerful punch that can knock out multiple enemies at once and a spinning attack that damages enemies in all directions.
The game also has a time limit for each level, adding an additional layer of challenge and urgency to the gameplay. If the player fails to complete a level within the time limit, they lose a life and must restart the level.
