Triple Play 96, a baseball video game, was released for the Sega Genesis in 1996. In it, the player controls one of two teams and plays through a season of Major League Baseball to reach the playoffs, where a championship is won. The game was designed by Canadian video game developer Extended Play and published by Electronic Arts. Triple Play 96 is considered one of the best sports games for the original Sega Genesis console along with the NBA Jam series.
Triple Play 96 is the first game in which you can play as the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Atlanta Braves. The game allows you to replay any of the 3 seasons, while being able to select between 84 different player types
